Victor Hugo
Did you know 92% of potential medical drugs fail when tested in clinical trials despite having undergone extensive animal experimentation prior to human trials? [1] It has long been known this failure is due to the issues concerning safety of the drug in humans and also it’s ineffectiveness at treating the disease. When animals are poor indicators of safety and efficacy, why are they still required by UK law for testing prior to human trials?
But the argument we so often hear is "but isn't animals the best we have at the moment?" The answer is a resounding NO and it’s time the government put an end to pharmaceutical regulatory requirements for the use of animals and fund replacements so that we can stop animal testing.
Remember, if animals can’t accurately predict the safety of medicine, ultimately humans will be harmed as a result of these misleading animal tests.

Camp Beagle
Did you know Camp Beagle is the longest running animal rights protest camp in history and seek to end animal experimentation?
Their primary objective is to shut down MBR Acres Ltd, free the beagles that are being used for torturous experimentation and to ban animal testing in the UK. They work tirelessly everday to protest, expose the animal testing industry (namely MBS Acres Ltd), promote non-animal methods and keep the pressure on the UK government.
Take a look at their website - they deserve our support:
